NT YOUNG RURAL ACHIEVER AWARD

Sponsored by the NT Department of Regional Development, Primary Industry, Fisheries and Resources

The NT Young Rural Achiever Award is presented as part of the Freds Pass Show on Saturday , 15 May 2019. It recognises the talents and achievements of young people in rural industries and communities. Through this Award young people are encouraged to develop their skills in a range of areas relating to rural life.

Applicants must be Northern Territory residents, aged 13 – 25 years as at 6 May 2010

Junior category – ages 13 to 17 years Senior category – ages 18 to 25 years

Previous winners of Junior can no longer enter Junior category but are encouraged to enter Senior category.

Applicants must submit a resume with their application. The resume must include:

$550 prize money for the Junior category (1st - $400, 2nd - $100, 3rd - $50)

$650 prize money for the Senior category (1st - $500, 2nd - $100, 3rd - $50)

TALENT QUEST

AN OPPORTUNITY NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!!!

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

  1. The TALENT QUEST commences Sunday at 9.15 am.
  2. All contestants will perform One (1) act/ song but should have two items prepared.
  3. Acts should be kept to a minimum of 4 minutes.
  4. The SOUND SYSTEM & BACKING BAND (if required) will be provided.
  5. ENTRY FEE must accompany all nominations together with official entry form.
  6. Entries posted to:
    Talent Quest, 1019 HUMPTY DOO 0836 by COB Monday 3rd May 2010.
  7. Judging Criteria - Entertainment Value, Stage presentation, confidence, delivery, attitude, and quality of performance.
  8. The JUDGES’ DECISION is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

Finlay's Stonemasonary Rural Block Frontages Competition

Entries close 1 May 2010

Judging conducted from 5-11 May 2010
Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Competition is open to owners of rural blocks 5 acres and over, where the frontage of the block will be judged.

Points will be awarded for the following:

  • Fence in good repair
  • Front gate/ gates in good repair
  • Good entrance - road surface
  • Unique attributes: Flag poles, fancy work, plants, foliage, rocks etc.
