BACKGROUND

Freds Pass Reserve, established in 1977 is approximately 31 kms South from Darwin City. Set in picturesque surrounds the reserve provides facilities for sporting groups and community Groups.
Each May, the reserve is home to the Freds Pass Rural Show.

2010 will see the Show celebrate its 32nd year – a milestone for an event which commenced as a school fete.

The Freds Pass Rural Show is an annual event providing a regional focus on productivity, enterprise and community.

The aim of the Show is to provide a forum to showcase the diverse range of industries including pastoralism, agriculture, horticulture, mining and manufacture as well as to provide an opportunity for community groups to hold their annual fundraising.

THE EVENT

It’s on again.

Freds Pass Rural Show attracts over 200 exhibitors and an average of 20,000+ patrons over 3 days, jammed packed with excitement and a vast variety of rural entertainment and exhibits. Our program is designed for families, competitors and exhibitors, who enjoy and parade a strong sense of community involvement and ownership.
